The fourth generation of the Kia Sportage will be officially presented to the public at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Kia cannot miss out on the action at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and it will be present at the event with a brand new model. This will be a new generation of the Sportage, the fourth one, as this will be shown on the 17th of September. In terms of design, the vehicle will be sleeker looking than its predecessor but the same shape of the body will be kept. Expect the “ice cube” LED daytime running lights on the higher end models, along with the front and rear underbody protection, made from aluminum.
The Kia “tiger nose” grille will also be added, but this will be lower fitted, and the lighting clusters will also be significantly upgraded. Expect a dual exhaust system finished in chrome, along with a roof-mounted spoiler which will be incorporating the third brake light into it. The cabin will be improved too and features from the new Sorento and Optima will be found here, including the large buttons for the climate control system, the larger infotainment screen, the soft-touch plastics and so on. The engine lineup of the brand new Kia Sportage will be borrowed from the Hyundai Tucson and this will include the 135 HP (99 kW) 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine, along with a turbocharged version, producing 176 HP (129 kW). The 115 HP (85 kW) 1.7 liter CRDi diesel will also be added, along with the 136 HP and 184 HP 2.0 liter unit.
