We are very surprised, as the second generation Dacia Logan was only unveiled last year, but our spy photographers have caught what looks like a facelifted Logan testing on the roads.
What is more curious is that while the body is obviously of the Dacia Logan, the parts covered from the front fascia are more likely to pertain to the Renault Symbol – which underpins the same technical platform and many design cues.
Our spies have caught this thinly disguised prototype of the two virtually identical cars in southern Europe and the update appears to be limited to the front and rear bumpers. An explanation to bring out this facelift so early would be Renault’s wish to establish the design language that also lead to the Duster facelift earlier this year. Interior and mechanics would not be touched.
Still, we are yet to be convinced that so fast a facelift is necessary and the car caught testing could be a version of the Renault Logan testing prior to its release to one of the markets where the French use the Dacia model under their own Renault brand.
