A crashed example of the Ferrari 458 Italia has been recently spotted in a parking lot, in California.
The Ferrari 458 Italia seems to be one of the most crashed supercars these past few months and the newest example of such an unfortunate incident is coming from California. According to the guys from the model in question has been spotted in a parking lot. As you can see from the image posted above, the entire front fascia has been destroyed after being involved, probably, in a head-on crash. The hood news is that it seems salvageable but that doesn’t mean that repairs will come in cheap, especially if the insurance will not cover it. If you happen to know more about how this crash occurred, please feel free to share.
Ferrari has been producing the 458 between 2009 and 2015 and this was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The supercar came in two body styles, a two-door coupe, the 458 Italia, and a two-door roadster, the 458 Spider. Both of them were powered by the same 4.5 liter V8 naturally aspirated engine, connected to the 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The unit was capable of producing a total of 562 HP (419 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque, available at 6,000 rpm. The Ferrari 458 has been recently replaced by the 488 GTB which was introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and it is carrying a brand new 3.9 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood.
