A prototype of a Dacia Duster Double Cab pickup truck has been recently caught on camera while it was being tested out in Romania.
If you happen to fancy the current Dacia Duster pickup but you are concerned that you will never get to buy such a vehicle, don’t worry because it seems that the Romanian based automaker has gotten you covered. The image posted below is showing an even more practical version of the budget SUV because it is coming with two extra rear doors and a rear bench which can accommodate up to 3 people, in the double cab body style.
Unfortunately we have no clue at this time whether the model pictured above is created by coachbuilder Romturingia in collaboration with Renault Technologie Roumanie or if the vehicle is actually going to be introduced in showrooms in the near future. However, rumor has it that this will be officially presented to the public, as a production version, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a premiere, this September. If it will indeed hit the market, than the model in question will be offered with the same features as the regular Duster, except for the rear bed and, probably, for a higher ground height and stiffer suspension. The new TCe 125 1.2 liter direct injection turbo engine will also become available for it, along with the MediaNav infotainment system.
