Originally created for the Indian auto market, with RHD, the low-cost SUV made by Renault under the Dacia badge, Duster, will arrive in the United Kingdom next year.
The Duster has been developed for cruising on all type of roads and it is available in both two-wheel and all-wheel drive, with 1.180 kg in the FWD variant and 1.280 kg in AWD.
The “Romanian” SUV is powered by a 1.6 liter 16v petrol engine, offered for the entry-level along with the FWD system, developing 110 horsepower, and a diesel unit, 1.5 dCi, in two variants, 85 and 105 HP.
According to the manufacturer the Duster is emitting only 140g of CO2 per kilometer in the two-wheel drive variant, and 10 grams more for the all-wheel drive system.
The Dacia Duster is competing against cars like the Skoda Yeti or the Hyundai Tucson, both priced around 16.000 euros, while the “Romanian” SUV costs only 10.500 euros for the entry-level version.
