Dacia is planning to develop a pickup variant of the Duster which is expected to make its way onto the market in 2014.
The Romanian based automaker is currently busy with the new generations of the Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway, or with the new launched Lodgy, Dokker, Dokker Van and Dokker Stepway, these days, but that doesn’t mean that the company isn’t thinking about the future and part of that future is a plan to develop a new variant of the Duster. Rumor has it that the car manufacturer will produce the Duster pickup and the very first market to receive the model will be India.
The new Dacia Duster pickup is expected to come with two body styles, single cab and double cab, and the model will get the 1.6 liter petrol engine under its hood, producing a total output of 105 BHP, along with the 1.5 liter K9K diesel engine. The Dacia Duster pickup is also expected to pack the Renault R-Link touch screen multimedia system, along with the satellite navigation system. The model will come with two-wheel or all-wheel drive and it should hit the market in 2014. Additional details on the Dacia Duster pickup are limited for the moment.
