Carlos Ghosn is saying that there will not be a Dacia version of the newly unveiled Kwid aimed towards the Old Continent.
A few days back we were telling you that a the guys from are stating the opposite. This source is quoting the Renault CEO, Carlos Ghosn, who has denied the Dacia Kwid.
“There will not be a Dacia badge on the Kwid… there will only be a Renault badge”, said the official.
The Renault Kwid will be focusing on the Indian market and after that it is considering exporting it to developing markets and even the global market. As I’m pretty much sure you already know by now, the Renault Kwid has been officially unveiled just last week and it stands at 3.68 meters long and 1.58 meters wide. The model is aimed towards the A-segment and it is a crossover which will be positioned right below the Captur. The vehicle is getting the instrument digital cluster and the 7-inch touch screen display, alongside other goodies. As far as the engine goes, the carmaker has confirmed the 0.8 liter unit which is connected to the 5-speed manual transmission. Additional details on the brand new Renault Kwid are limited at this moment and chances are they will be announced soon.
