The Romanian based automaker Dacia and its mother brand Renault are planning to present their newest creation, the Dacia Lodgy, at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012.
According to the manufacturer, the Dacia Lodgy will be officially presented at the Geneva Motor Show, in March 2012, and just a month after the automotive event, the model will hit the showrooms. The Dacia Lodgy is once again being placed into the spotlights and after we’ve announced its price just a week ago, the MPV is once again keeping everyone in the automotive media busy.
The new Dacia Lodgy will be manufactured at the Renault Tanger plant in Morocco and, if everything will go as planned, production will start in December. The Dacia Lodgy will be sold at a starting price set below the 10.000 EUR mark and, besides the new MPV, Dacia and Renault will also develop a new utility vehicle, on the same platform. The two new models will be a challenge for the French manufacturer, new cars in an new plant.
The Dacia Lodgy will cost way less than other similar models like the Renault Scenic, Citroen C4 Picasso and Peugeot 5008. The production version of the Dacia Lodgy is rumored to come with the same engines as the Dacia Duster SUV, the 1.5 liter dCi petrol engine with 90 and 110 horsepower and the 1.6 liter petrol unit developing 110 horsepower.
