Dacia Lodgy revealed ahead of Geneva debut image

The Romanian based automaker Dacia has just revealed its latest model, the Lodgy, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.

After being teased and spied numerous times and with some details leaking, Dacia has finally made the big step and revealed its latest model, the Lodgy. The Dacia Lodgy is an MPV and it joins the Logan sedan, the Sandero hatchback and the Duster SUV in the lineup. Even if the Romanian based automaker has released these two official images, Dacia didn’t announce any details yet about the newest model, except the fact that it’s 4.5 meters long (14.8 feet) and it will also be available with either five or seven seats. This actually places the Dacia Lodgy at the same length as its bigger brother, the Renault Grand Scenic.

The final production version of the Dacia Lodgy is expected to come with the same engines as the Duster SUV, the 1.5 liter dCi diesel with 90 or 110 horsepower and the 1.6 liter petrol unit, developing 110 horsepower. Besides the Lodgy, Renault and Dacia will also develop a new utility vehicle on the same platform, and both models are rumored to start production at the Renault Tanger, Morocco plant. The Dacia Lodgy will come with a three-year warranty and more details about it will be announced once the model will be officially presented in March, at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
