Dacia Logan celebrates its 10th birthday image

The Dacia Logan has been introduced back in 2004 and now the company has announced the celebration of the model’s 10th birthday.

Originally introduced under the codename “X90” and developed over the course of four years, the Dacia Logan has turned out to be a success for the Romanian brand, which was bought by Renault. One year after it was introduced on the Romanian auto market, the Logan has arrived in Western Europe too and it soon ended up being sold in other markets, across the globe and in various names such as Renault, Nissan or Mahindra, amongst others.

The Dacia Logan went through a facelift, which was introduced on the 1st of July 2008, almost four years after the initial launch of the model and, four years later, in 2012, the Romanian based automaker has officially pulled the wraps off the second generation of the model, during the Paris Motor Show. It has the same front fascia as the second-gen Sandero too and sales began in Romania in November, of the same year. The Logan is currently assembled in Mioveni, Romania, in Casablanca, Morocco, in Bursa, Turkey and in Sao Jose dos Pinhais, Brazil. The second-gen has a choice of three petrol engines, the 0.9L I3 turbo, the 1.2L I4, the 1.2L I4 gasoline / LPG and the 1.5L I4 diesel. It’s connected to a 5-speed manual transmission.
