The Romanian based automaker Dacia is currently celebrating a big milestone in its history as it has managed to sell no less than 3 million vehicles in the past 10 years.
Dacia has been turned in just a few years into a successful brand by Renault with sales worldwide reaching 3 million cars over the past 10 years. According to the car manufacturer, the 3 millionth vehicle has been sold recently, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, to a Spanish client called Andres Palomo Paz. The anniversary car hasn’t been presented at the “ceremony” because it has been already delivered to its new customer so the celebration was held in front of the new Dokker Stepway and Lodgy Stepway.
The 3 millionth car sold by Dacia was a Sandero Stepway and the keys were handed over by Nicolas Wertans, the global sales department chief of the Renault Group. In the first half of the current year, the company has sold 24.4 percent more cars while in the first half of 2014, Dacia has seen the most significant growth in Europe, with 36.2 percent. The Dacia Logan remains the best sold model produced in Mioveni, Romania, after the long forgotten 1300.
