The Romanian based automaker Dacia has recently announced a milestone for the Duster, after 400,000 units of the popular low-cost SUV have been assembled in Mioveni.
The 400,000th unit of the Dacia Duster has recently rolled off the assembly line in the company’s Mioveni plant. The model in question is finished in grey and it’s coming with the 1.5 liter dCi diesel engine under its hood, producing a total output of 110 HP, sent to the all-wheel drive system. The Dacia Duster pictured above will be delivered to a French customer.
The Dacia Duster has entered production in 2010 and now, almost three years after that, the model has been produced in 400,000 units. This is a huge success for the Romanian car brand, considering the fact that 95 percent of the SUVs made in Mioveni are aimed towards Western Europe. The Dacia Duster has received some important international awards, including the 2011 Car of the Year in Croatia, the 2012 Best 4×4 in France and the 2011 Residual Value Champion in Germany.
