Dacia is currently celebrating a production of 5 million cars in Romania as the landmark model is a facelifted Duster crossover, finished in a black shade.
Things are working better than expected for Dacia and in between arriving on new markets and introducing new models, the Romanian based automaker is currently celebrating a milestone. According to the car manufacturer, the 5,000,000th vehicle has been recently produced in the Mioveni, Romania, plant, and this is a black finished Duster, in the facelifted version. The plant capacity is 350,000 units annually and the models produced here are the Logan, Sandero, Sandero Stepway, Logan MCV and Duster. The Dokker, the Lodgy and the Dokker Van are assembled in Morocco.
The facelifted version of the Dacia Duster has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model has an updated front fascia and several extra goodies, such as the MediaNav infotainment system or the rear parking sensors, the ESC (electronic stability control) is also found on the model, along with cruise control, park assist or speed limiter. A new 1.2 liter turbo gasoline engine, with 123 HP and 250 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque, has been added to the range, along with the 1.6L 16V with 104 HP and the 1.5 dCi with 90 HP and 110 HP.
