The Romanian based automaker Dacia has recently announced a milestone after 500, 000 units of the Duster have been produced in the company’s Mioveni factory.
Dacia has managed to produce a total of 500, 000 units of the Duster, three years after the model has been in production at the Romanian facility. The 500,000th unit assembled in Mioveni was finished in an olive shade and it was coming with a 1.5 liter dCi diesel engine under its hood, producing a total output of 110 HP, sent to the all-wheel drive system. The vehicle in question will be exported to France, which is one of the biggest markets for the low-cost SUV.
The carmaker says that the Dacia Duster is one of the best sold vehicles produced by the company, representing 40 percent of the total daily production, and 95 percent of all units ever assembled have been exported. Dacia has updated the Duster with a facelift, which was unveiled during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model in question has received the MediaNav infotainment system, cruise control, speed limiter, rear park assist and a new 1.2 liter TCe turbo engine, producing 123 HP and 250 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque, besides the visual modifications.
