Dacia has recently announced that over 1, 000 pre-orders for the Duster SUV have been received in the United Kingdom.
Three months before the Dacia Duster will arrive in showrooms across the United Kingdom, the Romanian based automaker has announced that pre-orders for the SUV have surpassed the 1, 000 mark. Five of the top selling Dacia dealers are located in Scotalnd and Wales, with Midlands, South, Norht East and North West filling the other five places remaining.
“We always knew Dacia had the potential to tap into a stagnant UK new car market. Our Duster flagship is off to a great start even before we’ve received our first right-hand-drive shipment”, said Phil York, the Dacia marketing director.
As a quick reminder, the Dacia Duster has a starting price of 8,995 GBP in the United Kingdom for the base entry-level version and the cheapest variant of the SUV is coming with a 1.6 liter gasoline engine, which is producing a total output of 104 horsepower, sent to the front-wheel drive system. If you prefer a diesel, you can choose between the two configurations of the 1.5 dCi unit, with its 85 HP and 105 HP.
This version of the Romanian SUV is coming with a permanent all-wheel drive system and if you choose the Ambiance trim, you will get USB, Bluetooth and a CD player, while the high-end version, the Laureate, which starts at 12,995 pounds for the FWD, is adding leather trimmed steering wheel, air conditioning and 16-inch alloy wheels, amongst others.
