After January brought Mercedes Benz record sales, February came with new heights and delivers of 95,647 units in all regions, an increase of 20.3% making February the highest-growth month since January 2012.
The beginning of 2012 brought sales up with 12.6%, translating in 182,568 passenger cars and more sales in the Mercedes-Benz Cars division than ever before in the month of February (104,073 Mercedes-Benz, smart and Maybach). The sales increase in the last two months amounted to 12.9% (198,599 units).
“We are well on track to achieve our objective of a new sales record in the first quarter,” the company’s Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing Joachim Schmidt said in a statement.
In February the company reached in Germany sales of 17,993 units, up 22%, in China 19,205 units, up 58%, and in the U.S. 18,080 units, up 17%. New sales records were set both in Canada 2,158 units, up 18.4% and Mexico 533 units, up 22.8% in February. The February performance was also excellent in the Middle East region, with a 17.9% rise in unit sales. The B-Class met amazing customer response in February, recording 100,000 orders since its launch.
