D. Sordo wins, Rossi second.
Dani Sordo won the fantastic 2013 Monza Rally that was held this weekend at the historic circuit in Italy. Nine-time Motogp world champion Valentino Rossi was second in his custom Ford Fiesta.
Dani Sordo who won the 2013 ADAC Rally Deutschland back in August with a Citroen DS3 WRC was “the master” for the entire weekend being able to keep a safe distance between him and Rossi who passed the finish line 10.6 seconds later. Sordo was able to control the race even after the special “Grand Prix” special where Rossi was favorite.
Rossi won 4 of 9 special probes, but at the end, the 30 years old Dani Sordo was faster (final time: 1:16’21.4).
Third was still an excellent result Dindo Capello (with Marc Martí as copilot).
