Datsun GO Cross rendered image

The first rendering with the new Datsun GO has recently made its way onto the web and it might provide us with a first look into the model.

Nissan has revived the Datsun brand and the first model unveiled was named the GO. This is basically based on the same platform as the Nissan Micra and it’s also sharing some of the components of the model. But while Nissan is currently busy promoting the new Datsun GO, which is a modified version of the new car. The model in question has some pretty good chances of seeing the assembly line, but no details on the subject have been announced yet.

As a quick reminder, the Datsun GO is named after the original DAT-GO from 1914. The exterior design of the car is similar to the one used on the Micra and in the cabin we can see the handbrake and gearshift levers moved closer to the dashboard, in order to free some space between the front seats. The door handles and AC vents are borrowed from the Micra too. As for the engine lineup, this will include the 1.2 liter unit, mated to a five-speed manual transmission, at first.
