The first renderings with the Datsun GO Sedan have recently hit the web and they might provide us with a first look into a new body style version of the model.
The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently revived the Datsun brand, with the GO model, which is based on the Nissan Micra, and it has a five-door hatchback body style, but considering the fact that its main market will be Asia, where compact sedans like the Maruti-Suzuki Swift Dzire, the Honda Brio Amaze or the Toyota Etios are being sold, a sedan version of the new Datsun GO will probably be launched. The images posted below are renderings as the carmaker didn’t announce its plans to introduce such a model yet.
As a quick reminder, the Datsun GO is based on the Nissan Micra and its name is coming from the company’s first model, unveiled back in 1914, the DAT-GO. Its exterior design is similar to the one of the Micra and in the cabin we can see the gearshift and handbrake levers moved closer to the dashboard, in an attempt to free some space between the front seats. The model is 3,785 mm ling, 1,635 mm wide and 1,485 mm tall, riding on a 2,450 mm long wheelbase. As for the engine, a single powerplant will be available, the 1.2 liter mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
