Nissan will preview the brand new Datsun GO at its own dealer network across India and this action might be carried over once the model will reach different markets.
The announcement hasn’t been made officially by the company and it’s coming more like a report from the Indian automotive media. This will apparently give customers a first look into the new model and the pre-orders should increase until the Datsun GO will arrive at dealerships in autumn. No pricing details have been announced on the car in India but rumors are saying that the model should cost under 4-lakh.
As a quick reminder, the Datsun GO is based on the Nissan Micra and its name is coming from the company’s first model, unveiled back in 1914, the DAT-GO. Its exterior design is similar to the one of the Micra and in the cabin we can see the gearshift and handbrake levers moved closer to the dashboard, in an attempt to free some space between the front seats. The model is 3,785 mm ling, 1,635 mm wide and 1,485 mm tall, riding on a 2,450 mm long wheelbase. As for the engine, a single powerplant will be available, the 1.2 liter mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
