Datsun GO won’t arrive in China image

The brand new Datsun GO vehicle will not become available to customers in China as the carmaker has no plans of bringing it to the Asian country.

The announcement hasn’t been made officially just yet but according to the local automotive media, the brand new Datsun GO will not make its way onto the Chinese market. This could have been a real success considering the fact that the model should be priced at approximately 3,000 USD, but Nissan will be surpassed y Volkswagen, which is expected to launch a new low cost car in the Chinese market in the nearby future.

As a quick reminder, the new Datsun GO represents the revival of the brand after a lot of years. The model’s name is inspired from the DAT-GO vehicle, which was unveiled back in 1914. The new Datsun GO is based on the Nissan Micra and the model is 3,785 mm long, 1,635 mm wide and 1,485 mm tall, riding on a 2,450 mm long wheelbase. Under the hood, the new Datsun GO will use a 1.2 liter engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This will be the only engine option available. Additional details on the model will be announced close to its launch.
