Today, July 1st, Datsun unveiled sketches for the next-generation Datsun vehicles, which will be officially unveiled on July 15th at the world premiere event in New Delhi, India.
This is the first model developed especially fro the Indian market and also the first model of the Datsun lineup. The model will hit the market in 2014, but it will be introduced at the event in New Delhi, where the automaker will also introduce the Datsun brand, revived in March 2012. The brand will be initially introduced in developed markets such as India, Russia and Indonesia in 2014, followed by South Africa by the end of 2014.
“Datsun will bring competitive products and services, modern and aspirational, while at the same time reassuring, providing superior value and specifically developed for the emerging and ambitious new Middle Class in high-growth markets. The Datsun cars will be locally developed with the support of Nissan Motor Company engineers and stylists and will be locally produced”, said Vincent Cobee, Head of Datsun.
Each market will have its individually developed Datsun model, but all of the brand’s vehicles will offer an engaging driving experience, accessible prices, reliability and durability. Nissan Motor will be the automaker supporting Datsun’s product values and its experience as a global automaker.
