The second Datsun model will be unveiled later on this month as the carmaker has recently announced.
According to Nissan’s brand, the second Datsun model will be officially presented to the public on the 17th of September. The model will be the company’s second vehicle after the Datsun Go and it will be officially unveiled in Jakarta.
“This new Datsun car was developed locally, backed-up by Nissan Motor Company’s global technical experience and expertise to meet the needs of the new generation of aspirational customers (“risers”) in Indonesia”, as the carmaker is saying in its official press release.
Additional details on Datsun’s second model are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its debut. The Datsun brand has been revived a few months ago with the Go. The model is based on the Nissan Mira and its name is coming from the carmaker’s first model, which has been unveiled back in 1914. The Datsun Go is riding on the same platform as the Nissan Micra and it is 3,785 mm long, 1,635 mm wide and 1,485 mm tall, with a 2,450 mm long wheelbase. A single engine is available for the model, a 1.2 liter, with a five-speed manual transmission sending power to the front-wheel drive.
