Famous Canadian music producer Deadmau5 has bought a brand new McLaren 650S after selling his modified Ferrari 458.
When it comes to celebrities and their rides most of them prefer to use new hybrid and electric cars but every once in a while, someone stands out from a crowd and buys a brand new supercar. This is the case with Deadmau5 as the Canadian has acquired a brand new McLaren 650S after selling his modified Ferrari 458. The McLaren 650S is a competitor for the new Lamborghini Huracan and also for the Ferrari 458 Italia and it was officially unveiled a few months ago, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The supercar in question has replaced the MP4-12C and it is offered in two body styles, coupe and roadster. It has a front fascia inspired by the P1 and a rear end similar to the one of the MP4-12C. Power is being provided by the only engine McLaren makes, the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8, which was also used on the MP4-12C and which can be found on the P1 too. In the 650S, it’s producing 651 HP (478 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is made in 3.0 seconds and top speed stands at 330 km/h (206 mph).
