Nissan has recently pulled the wraps off the Resonance Concept, which will become the future generation of the Murano, during the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
After starting its life as a simple rumor a few months ago and then with the Japanese based automaker announcing its public debut during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, the Nissan Resonance Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker pulling the wraps off its body.
“When the designers were first working on conceptualizing the Nissan Resonance, they were inspired by amazing scientific advancements in technology and material innovations. They also were inspired by the aspirations of those people who unabashedly embrace innovation and are optimistic about the future. It was about serving those people a concept vehicle that is forward-looking and fuses style with an athletic ride”, said the Nissan division general manager, Francois Bancon.
The Nissan Resonance Concept is previewing the future generation of the Murano and the model is getting a “floating” roof, a more athletic appearance, an upgraded cabin and some other interesting features, which will probably be adopted onto the future Murano generation. No details on what the new Murano will get under its hood but the Resonance Concept is coming with a hybrid powertrain, made out of an electric motor and a small-displacement internal combustion engine, with all-wheel drive and a CVT. Additional details on the Nissan Resonance Concept, or on the future Murano generation, are limited for the moment.
