We’re fresh off the still ongoing Paris Motor Show, where Audi introduced the second generation Q5 crossover – and already the digital artists are digging in with the performance versions.
Naturally a star at the French event, the Q5 is not even on the market but we already know it will eventually spawn the S and RS sport derivatives. The company’s predictable and sometimes likeable design is a breeze for the digital artists, so thinking about the RS is actually not involving that many imagination. X-Tomi Design from Hungary has decided to try out the design of the first ever RS Q5. Audi is not going to talk about the potential presence of the S and RS versions, but the company has already hinted it would look great next to the RS Q7.
And the company might add the RS Q5 due to the popularity of the smaller RS Q3 – so the race is on to secure the model into the life cycle. If it gets the green light, it will most likely pack under the hood the newly developed biturbo 2.9-liter V6 engine from Porsche that will also be found inside the RS4 and RS5 models. This one is also expected to reach the base new version of the R8, so it will most likely become as iconic as the five-cylinder engine loved by Audi fans.
