Mercedes is going to present yet another member of the E Class family soon – and this time we’re talking about something more elegant than the E Class All-Terrain coming this fall at the Paris Motor Show.
Now, we’re talking here about the 2018 Mercedes E Class coupe, which is being thoroughly finished now in the secret laboratories – which is why the digital artists of the world have decided to try and render it to life. The model conceived here looks sleek, attractive and upscale – going upwards after being inspired by the C Class Coupe. The render uses a stylish front with single bar grille, elongated headlights, and big air intakes. The sportier treatment goes on around the back where there’s a sloped windscreen and muscular styling elements. According to the rumor mill the cabin will of course adopt most of the E Class styling and elements, but among the subtle changes we could see different air vents and a modified center stack lacking the analog clock.
Powertrains will not be a surprise though – as they will be directly borrowed from the sedan and wagon, with the now familiar choices including the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 241 horsepower and biturbo 3.0-liter V6 capable of 396 hp and 384 pound-feet of torque. We’re also of course expecting the AMG E43 and flagship E63 versions, the latter bringing to the table up to 612 hp.
