The Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat is believed to be officially presented to the public during the 2014 NAIAS, in Detroit, which will open its gates next week.
The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet and it’s actually part of a report published by the guys at allpar.com. According to our source, the North American based automaker will officially pull the wraps off the Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The model in question should be one of the best versions ever to be based on the Challenger.
The new Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat will be powered by a 6.2 liter V8 engine, which can produce between 640 HP and 700 HP (477 kW to 522 kW) and if this turns out to be true, than this basically means that the muscle car will be more powerful than the Challenger SRT8, which is getting a 6.4L HEMI V8, with 470 HP (350 kW) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque. The 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) should take just over 4 seconds in the Challenger SRT8 Hellcat. More details on the model are limited for the moment.
