Dodge has unveiled a new performance package for the new 2011 Dodge Durango SUV – the Dodge Durango Heat.
On the “Heat’ the standard Pentastar V6 is turned up to 295bhp and 260lb ft of torque. Suspension gets a 20mm drop, while five-spoke split-rim 20-inch wheels also come along for the ride. Thanks to the use of a V6 in place of the R/T’s V8, the Heat is also capable of up to 23 highway miles per gallon.
At the outside, Durango Heat features a unique fascia with fog lamps, a color-matched grille and dark headlamp bezels. The color-matched body kit, wheel lips and rear fascia with integrated dual chrome exhaust outlets, give the Heat a lower stance.
At the interior, Dodge saves a bit of weight by ejecting the third row; the Heat is available as a five-passenger model only.
The Dodge Durango Heat price starts at 30,295 USD and will be for sale this spring.
