Now its own patron, the luxury brand of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group has decided its rather short range could use some interesting tidbits and thus invented the new DS Performance Line.
While the luxury marquee can count among its credentials the go-fast hot hatchback – the new tweaks which in turn are spread across the entire lineup don’t actually enhance the performance at all. This is because they’re all about design and the performance specifications remain the same as with the regular versions. The DS Performance Line is available across the DS3 and DS3 Cabrio, the DS4 and DS5 models, each having its own set of bespoke colors and a contrasting black roof. The pack also includes new alloy wheel designs complete with black finish and Carmine Red center caps with the DS logo. The latter shade has also been used for the door mirror caps and rear spoiler, while the final touches are rounded by the badges on the front doors and hood.
Moving inside, owners will be able to select the new cloth and leather upholsteries that are different from the standard versions – while the stitching applied onto the seats, door panels, gear lever gaiter, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel are painted in the brand’s signature colors. DS also offers metallic and chrome accents, LED interior lighting and the brand’s newest update to the even-inch infotainment with support for MirrorLink and Apple CarPlay. The DS Performance Line can be attached to a wide variety of engines, all turbocharged.
