The all-new DS7 Crossback premium crossover is getting ready to showcase its credentials in front of the worldwide audience of the Geneva Motor Show – so here’s the first out of – hopefully – very few teasers.
The model has actually been caught naked in traffic without any camouflage – so the cat is actually out of the bag – but we all know teasers have been paid and need to be showcased. Thus, the recently gone independent DS Automobiles has initiated the Facebook teasing game – the video on the social network presents the midsize SUV’s headlight arrangement officially called “Active LED Vision.” The adaptive light-emitting diodes will also be seconded by a couple of vertical strips acting as the daytime running lights and while it’s not visible in the teaser we already know LED fog lights will also be part of the headlight arrangement – fitted inside the bumper.
DS Automobiles is counting on its new SUV to make an impact in Europe where it will go against heavy hitters – Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes GLC and the upcoming new generation Volvo XC60. This will be the flagship model of the brand and will use parent PSA’s versatile EMP2 architecture. Rumors are also putting a new turbodiesel 1.5-liter DVR engine under the hood – with up to 130 horsepower (97 kilowatts) and lower emission compared to the current crop of diesels. The online reveal is expected on February 28 (Tuesday), with the DS7 being officially premiered in front of the worldwide audience of the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
