DS teases E-Tense concept, set to debut today image

The recently gone independent DS Automobiles is looking to establish itself as a household name and concepts are a crucial part of the strategy.

The PSA Peugeot Citroen brand has recently showcased an initial teaser image of the E-Tense concept. The model will have its world premiere in front of the public next week during the Geneva Motor Show but more details should be released by the brand sometimes today. The E-Tense is being introduced as a sleek and elegant two-door coupe that kind of reminds us of the general shape and form of the Audi R8 supercar. The teaser image shows the coupe will come with a rakish windscreen, a linear but sloping roofline and protruding front fenders. We also noticed from the darkened teaser the flush-mounted door handles, side scoops, and five-spoke alloy wheels, the compact greenhouse or sleek LED taillights.

There isn’t much more information to go about, but be sure we’ll keep you posted as the automaker releases it. Anyways, the company has hinted the cockpit will feature a unique interior with premium leather upholstery and a flat-bottomed steering wheel that has been crafted out of a single piece of milled aluminum. DS Automobiles is mum on providing further details, in the past they did comment the E-Tense is a “totally unique and highly distinguished DS brimming over with advanced technology.” They went on to say the coupe would feature “superlative refinement” and a “decidedly sporting inclination.”
