The Dubai Fire Brigade has recently gained a brand new vehicle to use in its civic assignments, a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
Dubai is known for its wide streets, tall buildings, exotic supercars and a police department which is using vehicles like the Bugatti Veyron, the Lamborghini Aventador, an Aston Martin One-77, or modified Mercedes-Benz G63 AMGs, amongst others, but now time has come to write about the city’s Fire Brigade, which has recently received a brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The model in question is unlikely to be used at actual fires but it will attract a lot of attention towards Dubai’s fire brigade and it’s actually coming stock, except for the lightbar and the paint.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been officially presented to the public just earlier this year and the model is coming in two body styles, Coupe and Roadster, both of them sharing the same platform, options and engine. Power is being provided by the LT1 6.2 liter V8 unit, which is producing a total output of 455 HP (339 kW) and it has a peak torque of 450 lb-ft (609 Nm). The unit is mated to either a seven-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the RWD.
