The Porsche 918 Spyder has arrived to lift the ranks of the evolving fleet of supercars taking up the livery of the Dubai police – which is hardly a surprise given the rest of entries in the garage.
The Dubai police force must be one of those havens for police officers around the world, as it has been stocked with all the latest and greatest additions of the supercar fleet of the world. Now they added yet another layer of exclusivity as one of the limited series of 918 units of the Porsche 918 Spyder has joined the club that also includes the Lamborghini Aventador, Aston Martin One-77, Bentley Continental, Mercedes-Benz SLS or the Bugatti Veyron. By the way, we’re unsure how they make the selection and who gets to drive the bombs but don’t imagine it all roses and wine – they also have rather odd additions such as the Renault Twizy.
Naturally the exclusive bunch will be treated to no second of actual police work, being sent to the most luxurious areas of Dubai to impress tourists and deter the malevolent parties. Among the other entries in the exclusive club we can also highlight the Ferrari FF, BMW M6 Gran Coupe, Chevrolet Camaro, or a custom job on the Ford Mustang done by Roush. We are also suspecting some Police competition between the Dubai force and the neighboring Abu Dhabi fleet which has all sorts of road-going diamonds, including the Rolls-Royce Phantom or the very exotic Lykan Hypersport.
