Ducati Malaysia has officially unveiled its latest model, the 1199 Panigale – one of the most powerful two cylinder motorcycle in the world.
The new 1199 Panigale benefits from a monocoque frame and the first electronically adjustable suspension on any superbike anywhere.
That’s not the only technology on board, though – a GPS-based data acquisition system will track your performance as you kick the Panigale around your favorite track. That little trick is a first for production motorcycles in general.
The performance claims are equally staggering: 195 horsepower, 101.8 foot-pounds of torque, 388 lb. wet-minus-fuel weight. The Superquadro engine hits this huge figure at just 9000 rpm, where by comparison the BMW S1000RR is spinning at a crazy 14,200 rpm to make its peak of 193 horses.
Ducati Malaysia centre is located at the Naza Automall in Petaling Jaya.
Ducati was established in 1926 in Bologna, in the region of Emilia Romagna in Italy. Is now part of the Vw Group after Audi division said it agreed to buy Italian motorcycle maker Ducati, adding a 12th brand to the German auto maker’s portfolio of passenger cars, trucks and ultra-luxury vehicles.
