Bentley’s boss, Wolfgang Durheimer, has recently announced that the company’s first ever SUV will be priced at more than 130,000 GBP.
The upcoming Bentley SUV is being placed into the spotlights once again, after being caught on camera numerous times by our spy photographers and after being previewed by a concept version, named the EXP 9 F, a couple of years ago, this time with the help of the company’s boss, Wolfgang Durheimer, who has announced, in an interview with Autocar, during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, that the model in question will be more expensive than the current luxury SUVs and it will cost more than 130,000 GBP.
According to the Bentley official, the Mulsanne will remain the company’s flagship model and the SUV will not go into its pricing range. The new Bentley SUV is said to ride on the MLB Evo platform and it is believed to be powered by a 4.0 liter V8 twin turbo engine and by a 6.0 liter W12 unit, later on. Rumors are saying that a plug-in hybrid version of the model will be added, eventually. The Bentley SUV is believed to be introduced in 2016, as a 2017 model year. Its official name remains unknown for the moment.
