There’s a monster tuning package for the 991-series Turbo S, now capable of getting up to 675 horsepower – besting by far even the latest and greatest, the Turbo S Exclusive Series.
We all know Porsche loves to treat its 911 range to endless versions, but for now, except for the recently revealed dragon GT2 RS, nothing sits above the Turbo S Exclusive Series, at least not when it comes to power and luxury. The version has the biturbo 3.8-liter engine churning out 607 hp (446 kilowatts) and 553 pound-feet (750 Newton-meters) of torque. But those looking to set themselves apart even when faced with that taunting yellow-carbon Exclusive Series, the address is Edo Competition’s garage where the wizards are prepared to massage the engine to 675 hp (496 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm).
Called the “Blue Arrow”, this aftermarket enhanced 911 Turbo S wants to claim rights of being the quickest 991 Turbo S of them all. The tuner is actually lending credit to its claim of being the fastest – they went to the High Speed Oval ATP Papenburg in Germany where it topped out at a great 344.18 kph (213.86 mph). The Turbo S Exclusive Series, meanwhile, is capable of 205 mph (330 kph). The 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint has also been enhanced to 2.7 seconds, which is a good two tenths of a second quicker than Porsche’s series top dog. The Blue Arrow is a facelifted 911 Turbo S, packing a new engine control unit and optimized software, with the engine also 60 kilograms (132 pounds) lighter. 20-inch forged wheels and a 30 mm drop to the suspension complete the package, along with the carbon fiber hood.
