Ford will soon the official price list for the new Focus Electric in the United Kingdom, where the “green” five-door hatchback cost at least 33,500 GBP.
The North American based automaker Ford is getting ready to introduce its greenest version of the Focus, the Electric, in the United Kingdom, where the model will set you back for 33,500 GBP. The official announcement hasn’t been made yet, but according to the guys at Autocar, the model in question will cost 33,500 GBP, for the base entry-level version. This means that the Ford Focus Electric will cost almost twice as much as the cheapest Nissan Leaf, 15,000 GBP, or the Renault Fluence ZE, 17,000 GBP.
The Ford Focus Electric has recently entered production in Saarlouis, where the first units have rolled off the assembly line a couple of months ago. The model in question is taking its power from an electric motor, which is producing the equivalent of 143 HP. This is backed up by a lithium-ion battery pack, which is offering the model a range of 100 miles on a full charge. The model in question is getting a 6.6 kW charged built, which will help its battery charge from empty in 3 to 4 hours. More details on the model will be announced close to its launch.
