Hyundai has announced that a new entry-level version of the Veloster Turbo will be launched in the United Kingdom and this model will be priced under 20,000 GBP.
After the Hyundai Veloster Turbo has been launched in the United Kingdom just last month, where the outgoing version is available from 21,995 pounds, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time by the South Korean based automaker announcing a new entry-level version. The model will undercut the Veloster Turbo SE by around 2,000 GBP, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet which standard features will be dropped. Rumors are saying that the touch screen navigation and the leather trip will be removed.
The Hyundai Veloster Turbo is coming with a 1.6 liter T-GDI engine, fitted with a high compression and a twin-scroll turbocharger, which is developing a total output of 184 horsepower (186 PS / 137 kW) and it has a peak torque of 265 Nm (195 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission which is helping the coupe accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 8.4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 133 mph (214 km/h). The model is emitting 157 g/km of CO2 and it’s returning 40,9 mpg UK in a combined cycle.
