Tuning specialist Fab Design has recently introduced its latest work – called Ethon. This is actually a Mercedes-Benz S Class Coupe featuring a series of styling and performance enhancements.
The model got its new name from an eagle from Greek mythology, but underneath the new moniker we can clearly see the Mercedes S Class Coupe – albeit treated to an aerodynamic body kit that has taken a restrained approach and will be a good fit to stylish automotive connoisseurs. The company thus opted for a more serious appearance than its previous incarnation – the Esquire which started life at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. This styling direction might not be on everyone’s course but we can see the new front bumper, refreshed grille with mesh inserts, and aerodynamic side skirts. The model also gains an integrated diffuser on the new rear bumper and future owners can have a choice of different rims – two sets of 22-inch forged alloys wrapped in Pirelli rubber.
Aside from the light design refresh, the Mercedes-Benz S Class Coupe has also gained courtesy of Fab Design a full performance package. The tweaks take the S63’s biturbo 5.5-liter V8 engine to a full 630 horsepower and 678 lb-ft feet of torque. We haven’t been treated with actual performance specifications, as the company declined to say how faster the vehicle has become – but we do know it’s going to be quicker than the “regular” version, which handles the usual zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint like a champ in a supercar-material 3.9 seconds.
