Castrol, the official sponsor of Euro 2012 has launched an interactive campaign where fans can get a unique insight into the performance of their favorite teams and players.
The Castrol EDGE UEFA EURO 2012 Calculator makes result and score-line predictions on every UEFA EURO 2012 fixture by first evaluating each team’s attack and defence. This, together with knowing the structure of the tournament, then allows Castrol to predict how well each team will do.
Fans visiting castroledge.com/euro2012 will be able to see how their nation’s chance of success is affected by all the on-pitch action in real time as the Castrol EDGE Calculator updates live throughout every match of the tournament.
The Castrol EDGE Index is Castrol EDGE’s unique system for rating player performance and was first developed at the UEFA European Championships in 2008.
Last year Castrol EDGE and brand ambassador Cristiano Ronaldo teamed up to create the award-winning documentary ‘Castrol EDGE Presents Ronaldo Tested to the Limit’. To celebrate the release of the documentary for free on iTunes in the lead up to UEFA EURO 2010, a brand new challenge was created for the Portugal star, inspired by his fans on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Orange is launching two free apps to tap into the expected surge in dual-screen viewing around matches.
