The England soccer team visited Vauxhall Motors HQ in Luton this week, prior to the team flying out to Poland to prepare for Euro 2012.
Lead sponsor of the England football team, Vauxhall welcomed the full squad and manager Roy Hodgson so the Luton staff could meet the entire team and wish them good luck.
Captain Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney and the squad posed for pictures with Vauxhall staff, the award-winning Vauxhall Ampera and signed a special commemorative autograph board during the visit.
“It was a privilege to meet the England squad before they travel out to represent us in Poland and the Ukraine.
Football fever is definitely alive and kicking at Vauxhall Motors. We’ll be supporting the team through all their fixtures and we’re looking forward to their first game.” Robert Parker, Forecasting Manager at Vauxhall Motors said.
Last week Vauxhall launched a new TV advert starring the England squad.
The ad features the likes of Steven Gerrard, Scott Parker and Joe Hart standing shoulder-to-shoulder with football fans and Vauxhall staff from the car manufacturer’s Ellesmere Port production plant on Merseyside.
The ad launches ahead of Euro 2012, which gets underway on Friday, and was first aired before England’s final warm-up friendly with Belgium on ITV over the weekend.
The www.vauxhallfootball.co.uk website will continue to add content and more interviews during the Euro 2012 campaign.
