The new Honda CR-V and Citroen C4 Picasso have been recently tested by Euro NCAP and the two vehicles have been awarded with a 5-star safety rating.
According to the safety specialists at Euro NCAP, the new Honda CR-V has received 93 percent in Adult Occupant protection, 74 percent in Child Occupant, 68 percent in Pedestrian and 66 percent in Safety Assist. In the frontal impact test, the model has scored 14.9 points, 8.0 points were received in the side impact car and 7.2 points in the side impact pole. The rear impact has surfaced good neck protection, at 3.4 points. The model tested was a 2.2 diesel SE, weighing 1,653 kg.
Besides the Honda CR-V, the new generation of the Citroen C4 Picasso has been also tested and the model has managed to score 86 percent in Adult Occupant protection, 88 percent in Child Occupant, 68 percent in Pedestrian safety and 81 percent in Safety Assist. In the frontal impact test the car received 13.5 points, in the side impact car 8.0 points, in the side impact pole 6.5 points and in the rear impact 3.1 points. No major problems have been discovered. The model tested was a C4 Picasso DV6 Confort, weighing 1,405 kg.
