In the Child Occupant protection, the model was rated as good, in the frontal impact test, for both the 18 month dummy and the 3 year dummy. The bumper of the car scored maximum points in Pedestrian Safety but the front edge of the bonnet showed marginal protection to the pelvis. The ESC is standard on the Mitsubishi Space Star’s new generation. The model tested was a Mitsubishi Mirage 1.2 5-door hatchback.
