The Renault Megane hatchback has received a safety rating of 4 stars after being crash tested by Euro NCAP while the Suzuki Celerio has been awarded with just 3 stars.
The safety specialists from Euro NCAP have given the Renault Megane hatchback 4 out of five stars and the model has been awarded with 83 percent in the Adult Occupant protection, 78 percent in the Child Occupant protection, 60 percent in the Pedestrian safety and just 56 percent in the Safety Assist category. The main problems were spotted in the last two categories as the model has marked 22 points in the Pedestrian Safety and just 7 points in the Safety Assist.
Euro NCAP has also tested out the Suzuki Celerio but the result is not what you have been expecting, probably, as the small vehicle has been give just 3 stars, out of a total 5. In the Adult Occupant protection category it has scored 61 percent, in the Child Occupant protection 74 percent, in the Pedestrian Safety 68 percent and in the Safety Assist just 38 percent, so if you were hoping of buying such a vehicle, you should turn your heads towards other models. The tested car was a Suzuki Celerio 1.0 petrol GL weighing 823 kg.
