Chevrolet has recently announced the official price list of the new Corvette generation in Europe, where the model is now available to its future customers from just under 70,000 euros.
According to the North American based automaker, the European version of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will feature the Z51 performance package as standard, adding features like the electronic limited-slip differential, different suspension system, new performance gear ration, differential and transmission cooling, dry-sump oiling system, large 19- and 20-inch wheels and tires, larger front and rear braking discs and an enhanced aerodynamic package for optimized stability at high speeds.
“While the Corvette Stingray can compete with its rivals in terms of performance, it remains affordable. The Stingray is more than a car, it’s a statement of intent by drivers who want the pure exhilaration that’s tantamount with the name Corvette”, said the president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac Europe, Susan Docherty.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a new 6.2 liter LT1 V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 460 HP (343 kW) at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 630 Nm (465 lb-ft), available from 4,600 rpm. The 0 to 60 mph sprint is done in less than 4 seconds. The new sports car will arrive in dealerships across the Old Continent in this autumn and in Germany the model will be priced from 69,990 euros, for the cheapest version.
