Toyota has recently announced more details on the brand new Corolla sedan generation, which will arrive in showrooms across the Old Continent in 2014.
After it was officially unveiled just a month ago, the new generation of the Toyota Corolla, in its Euro-sped, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker announcing more details on it. The model in question is now 80 mm longer, 15 mm wider and 5 mm lower than its predecessor, and 345 mm longer than the hatchback. The new Corolla has a 100 mm longer wheelbase, the rear overhang has been reduced by 25 mm and the front overhang has increased by 5 mm.
The 2014 Toyota Corolla is getting angular headlights with LED daytime running lights, a chrome plated upper grille with horizontal bars, wide taillights, connected by a long strip, and much more. As for the engine options, Europeans will get the 1.3 liter with 73 kW And 128 Nm of torque, the 1.6 liter with 90 kW and 154 Nm of torque, the 1.6 liter Valvematic with 97 kW and 160 Nm of torque and the 1.8 liter producing 103 kW and 173 Nm of torque. The model will also receive a 1.4 liter turbo diesel, with stop / start, producing 66 kW and 205 Nm, while burning 3.8 L / 100 km. The hybrid unit will be left aside from the sedan.
