The German based automaker Audi has recently announced the official starting price in Europe for the new A8 Hybrid, which has been set at 77,700 euros.
After being officially presented to the public in a world premiere in 2010 in Geneva, and after that being shown at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and even at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Audi A8 Hybrid is finally getting ready for its future European customers. According to the car manufacturer, the Audi A8 Hybrid can actually be compared to the regular A8 model, because the two vehicles aren’t that different, and the “green” version is also similar to the concept car, except for the wheels, which have turned from 21-inch to 18-inch.
Audi says that the A8 Hybrid is powered, just like the A6 Hybrid, by the 2.0 liter TFSI engine, which is developing a total output of 211 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 350 Nm, along with an electric motor, generating 54 horsepower, being “kept alive” by a set of 72-cell lithium-ion batteries placed in the trunk. The total output of the model goes up to 254 HP and 450 Nm and the luxurious car has an average fuel consumption of just 6.4 liters every 100 km, while emitting 148 g/km of CO2. The starting price for the Audi A8 Hybrid has been set at 77,700 euros but the long wheelbase version will set you back for 85,400 euros.
