The shortlist for the 2014 European Car of the Year title has been recently announced by a jury and the winner will be finally awarded during the Geneva Motor Show, next year.
After we have seen the 2014 North American Car and Truck of the Year finalists, just a couple of weeks ago, time has come to talk about the 2014 European Car of the Year, whose winner will be announced next year, in March, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. From the finalists for the much awaited award, we can tell you that there will be German, French, Czech and even American carmakers.
According to COTY, the shortlist recently announced includes the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the BMW i3, the Citroen C4 Picasso, the Peugeot 308, the Skoda Octavia and even the Tesla Model S. The winner will have to be selected by a jury of 58 members from 22 European countries, who will analyze each car before making a decision. The winner will be finally announced on the 3rd of March, 2014, during the Geneva Motor Show. Last year’s winner was the seventh generation of the VW Golf.
