Ford has recently pulled the wraps off the European version of the EcoSport, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, next week.
After announcing its plans to introduce the European version of the Ford EcoSport on the Old Continent during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show not too long ago, the North American based automaker stepped forward once again and released the very first images with the model. The B-segment crossover, which is based on the Ford Fiesta, will go on sale in Europe with SYNC AppLink, which is enabling voice control on smartphone applications, SYNC emergency assistance, connecting to local emergency services and some other interesting features.
The European version of the Ford EcoSport has been unveiled at a mobile tech show in Barcelona, Spain, and the two images posted below are providing a first glimpse into the model which will go on sale on the Old Continent later on this year or in early 2014. Rumors are saying that the Ford EcoSport will get a 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine under its hood, in two outputs, 100 HP and 120 HP, along with a 1.5 liter diesel. More details on the Ford EcoSport in Europe will be announced in Geneva. The model will go on sale against the Nissan Juke, the Opel Mokka or the Peugeot 2008.
